The Competitor Discovery feature helps you identify podcasts that compete with yours by analyzing shared keywords. This tool provides valuable insights into how your podcast compares to others in your niche and allows you to track their performance over time.

Podcast Selector
Use the sidebar to navigate between your podcasts. Select a podcast to view competitors specific to its rankings and keywords. -
Platform Selector
Choose the platform (e.g., Apple Podcasts, Spotify) for which you want to discover competitors. Competitors and rankings are platform-specific. -
Competitor List

Thumbnail & Title: Each competitor is displayed with its logo and name for quick recognition.

Publisher: Shows the publisher or network associated with the competitor podcast.

Rank: Displays the current rank of the competitor on the selected platform.

Track Competitor Button
Click the “Track Competitor” button to add the competitor podcast to your tracked competitors. Tracked competitors appear in multiple parts of the Podseo interface, such as keyword rankings and timeline views, for a more integrated analysis.
How Competitors Are Determined:
Competitors are identified based on keyword overlap. Here’s how it works:

Organic Keywords: Keywords for which your podcast ranks are compared against those of other podcasts.

Shared Keywords: Podcasts that rank for the same or highly similar keywords are considered competitors.

Ranking Relevance: Higher-ranked podcasts for overlapping keywords are prioritized in the list, as they represent stronger competition in your niche.
